I have owned several discontinued modules and continue to keep several in my racks. I don't have any concerns about them, and if I need to get one repaired, I'll solicit help in the appropriate forum here on MW.
However, I did get rid of the one Audio Damage module I once had (ADM18 Shapes) because it is a digital module and I have the impression that digital modules are potentially more complicated to repair because much of their functionality is embedded inside of microprocessor chips (I'm not sure — correct me if I'm wrong). Also, I found the circumstances behind that company's exit from the Eurorack module production industry a bit unnerving, and I couldn't help wondering if I was holding onto a lemon, even though the module I had exhibited no issues. It also wasn't a module that I found critical to my process, nor did it exhibit in any way a one-of-a-kind functionality.
