I think instead of trying to be smart you should read the post more closely. The OP is looking for an alternative to that.I have a lot of vinyl and prefer the experience of mixing vinyl more than anything else. There is a flow state I can get into that I can’t with digital. But I’ve really stopped buying vinyl for quite some time now as I need to import it.
I bought a pair of Traktor D2s when they were still being made. They have a track display and you can select tracks like CDJs which means you don’t need to look at the monitor. They were part of NI’s Stems initiative which failed dismally which I guess is why they were discontinued not long after they were released. I think it’s a shame that NI discontinued the digital controllers with displays. I see that Traktor 4 which I have not updated to includes Izotopes stem extraction software. Maybe I should update and see how it works. Seems you can still buy D2s if you look for them.
I first used an X1 style controller which wasn’t bad, you could consider one of the Traktor controllers with the jog wheels but you need to look at the monitor.
Traktor also sells time code Control vinyl, so you could try that, but again you still need to stare at the monitor.
