ugh, sure! the points i made above were an indirect response to the questions about bugs - but you know, gs is full of that kind of talk and some folka apprently send theirs back now because they don't like the presets...
Awesome!
Kind request: To round it out perhaps for those who read the above and don't know the depth of your expertise + the perspective from which I assume you write it: What's your general observation + the good stuff of the Muse to you?

I'm biassed here - usually really reserved as regards analogue polys, and I use my p5 module not very often as I find its general sound scope limited. that's me though. My initial response to the Muse is a bit like to the Waldorf M - oddly, no pondering and to & fro as regards if I should get this, but an almost instantaneous gut response promptet me to take the risk. I've not regrettet that so far. p5 was a *much* longer struggle, and I modded that one pretty soon for more sound options. something like OB-x8 didn't do the trick for me at all - so that's the direction I'm coming from.
Muse has a core tone that complements p5 and softer stuff very well - dunno, bit like some late 60s odd dubbish forceful kinda thing. and it can get weird in a controlled way, which is very helpful and nice. the extra modulators and all keep it interestinga nd you can even do stuff like emulating 303 accent ect in the mod matrix by means of comparators and modulating modulators in turn. so the mix of how the sound behaves (overload circuit interacts nicely with the filters, and can be dynamically controlled!) and how you can program sounds makes is a really cool poly to me + plus there's the sequencer and its parameter lock-style capabilities (not explored that topo much though). fm is very useable and again, you can modulate fm amount per envelope etc., so that's much more than a simple "yeah, I can FM too-----technically"
you can stay on the surface and do easy or you can dive into extra functions, all of which are a few clicks away. 8 voices are good enough for my purposes and a stereo out as well. though with timbre a/v an extra pair would have been nice. Keyboard is good enough for me. the knobs feel solid and have a nice travel, i.e. parameters don't scroll like rabbits on speed but smoothly
the mod osc is analogue, so one wish i had is moot - waveshaping on the sine. this would have opened up a whole other dimension of using this for audio and modulating purposes. but they could (and SHOULD!) implement something like toggling though mod osc waveshapes per keystroke like the amazing thing you can do on the pitts taiga oscillators. apart from that, modulating mod slots might be cool or proper function generators, but hey... looping envs aren't half bad
dunno how to put this in a nutshell -- sonically muse is deffo more "bbc radiophonic meets dubplates" than the "80s called and asked if they get their sawyerjump(tm) back," which is more my vibe too. in terms of sound design options, it's more like an "yeah, can do this, but don't have to - let's give it a quick try" - so yeah, overall happy so far
