IMO, we (members of this forum) are in a pretty small self-selected demographic. YouTube personality Andrew Huang and the producer for Ye, Beyonce, The Weekend, Madonna, etc. probably have more name recognition in the target demo than Hans or Trent (who I'd guess would be WAY more expensive to convince than a YouTuber and a guy who already has a very public hardon for Moog). Moog is the Apple of synths, they're selling an image and a lifestyle and they're gonna hit up the people who will push that image (influencers, popular producers).

I think the whole approach they're taking is played out and lazy and my interest in this thing has dropped significantly. But that's less due to their marketing strategy and more the resulting disappointment that I let myself get my hopes up that they were doing something weird with this. But they're not. They're Moog, they don't' get weird with their big guns. Instead we're getting what looks like a pretty standard subtractive polysynth in a market that is saturated with pretty standard subtractive polysynths. I still feel like they're gonna shoot for $4000-5000 for this thing, at which point I'd rather just get the 3rd Wave that I actually want.

Anyway, there are some clouds outside that need yellin' at.
